New PC and Info Dump

Hey. Been a while, new year and stuff.

So, this is it, my new PC. ...sort of. I just spent $475 as soon as I got it in order to get the basic parts I needed to get something going, including a pretty cheap Celeron processor, only 4GBs of RAM, a somewhat cheap graphics card, and I didn't even buy a hard drive; I'm currently using a 250GB hard drive from my old HP laptop from mid 2008. But I bought all of my parts from Newegg on Friday the 16th, got all of my parts on Thursday the 22nd and got it fully up and running on Friday the 23rd. So even though I didn't continue to save my money long enough to get a Core i7, GTX 970, 16GBs of RAM and other high end parts for the best gaming experience, what I have now is working out pretty well and it has plenty of room for expansion. Not too bad for my very first build if I say so myself.

I could just go on and on about how awesome it is to finally be a part of the glorious PC gaming master race and that I have no interest in modern consoles, but gaming is only half of the reason why I'm investing hundreds of dollars in PC parts. I said that I was going to put out some AMVs, and I still fully intend to do so. Faceless Vixens: Omega Dragon is still ongoing, and since I teased it in one of my dumb polls (don't worry, I only have two weeks of premium membership left), I will work on an AMV for School Days using "Womanizer" by Britney Spears just because how both how much I unironically like School Days and how suitable the song is for the show. I did install Premiere Pro and After Effects, but the UIs for those two really confuse me, so I might stick to what I know: Vegas Pro and Photoshop using basic filters and composting techniques.

So I guess that's about it for now. Kinda writing this at 3AM as a tired but not sleepy sort of thing. I'll pretty much be playing Skyrim, Tera Online, Warframe and doing the usual college art student thing as I make my new rig more video editing ready.
